Born in Oklahoma, Ann actually grew up in the Pacific Northwest. Ann loves to study scripture, painting, gardening, quilting, and writing short stories and spoiling her Shih-tzu puppy.
A unique experience saw her pronounced “dead” at the age of six, only to be discovered alive as her body was being moved to the morgue. Thus began her lifelong ongoing conversation with Jesus. Gifted with a beautiful voice and headed for Julliard, a handsome young man won her heart and they got married in 1959.
The young couple and their children moved from one construction site to another construction site (twenty-seven moves in eighteen years). The needs of ailing parent brought about a return to Washington in 1976. The return to Washington felt like coming “home”. They both built a home together and started a construction company. Ann worked for a government contractor.
Those years brought much happiness but much heartbreak. Her husband, bedridden with a progressive and debilitating disease for fifteen years, passed away at age 71 and their daughter passed away at age 50. These losses were quite naturally devastating, but to this day, she gives thanks to the knowledge that these two precious souls are with our heavenly Father.
